I made these cookies for a Christmas cookie exchange and they were a hit. They are not too hard to make. Enjoy. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1 cup brown sugar, packed |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed |
1/4 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. In mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg & vanilla. 2. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to the creamed mixture. 3. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. 4. Roll into 1-inch balls. 5. Place 2-inches apart on greased baking sheets. 6. Using the end of a wooden spoon handle, make an indentation in the center of each ball. 7. Combine filling ingredients. 8. Spoon about 1 teaspoonful into each cookie. 9. Bake at 350 degrees for 11 to 13 minutes or until lightly browned. 10. Cool for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks. |
