these are great served with a cheese board they are good with a ripe Taleggio or Dolcelatte or any other soft cheese Ingredients:
100g - 4 oz butter softened |
85g - 3oz muscovado sugar |
1 egg beaten |
50g - 2oz porridge oats |
50g - 2 oz walnuts, finely chopped |
85g - 3oz plain flour |
1/2 tsp baking powder |
cheese and strawberries to serve |
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 180C - gas 4 2. butter 2 baking sheets 3. beat the butter and sugar in a bowl till light and fluffy 4. stir in the oats, flour, baking powder and nuts 5. drop desert spoonfuls onto a baking sheet 6. bake for 15 min until pale golden and cool on a wire wrack |
