This will make your mouth water...mmmm. A family recipe only made at Christmas time and past down by my mother in-law. Can be made anytime though but beware you can't stop eating ... Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1/2 cup butter, room temperature |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 eggs, beaten |
1 1/2 cups brown sugar |
1 cup chopped walnuts or 1 cup pecans |
1 cup shredded coconut |
1/4 teaspoon vanilla |
2 tablespoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. 2. For Bottom Layer mix ingredients and press into 9 X 13 pan greased with butter Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. 3. For Top: Mix ingredients together and spread on top of cooled bottom layer. 4. Bake 350 F for 25 minutes till golden brown. 5. Let cool till set and cut into squares. |
