Walnut Apple Crisp

Simple and delicious! You can't go wrong with this wonderful, tasty treat!
Ingredients:
5 cups thinly sliced tart apples
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 dash salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Directions:
1. Toss apples with lemon juice and water in shallow 2-quart baking dish.
2. In large bowl, combine flour, oats, sugar, nutmeg and salt. Mix to blend.
3. With pastry blender cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Mix in walnuts.
5. Crumble over apples to cover completely. Do not pack down.
6. Bake in 350 oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until top is lightly browned.
7. Serve warm or at room temperature.
