This was sent to me by a best friend years ago and has become a favorite.. Please enjoy Ingredients:
3 eggs |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
3/4 cup light corn syrup |
1 cup walnuts chopped |
1/4 cup real butter |
1 (9 inch) deep dish pie crust |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 F degrees 2. Beat the eggs in bowl. Mix in sugar, salt, vanilla and syrup. 3. Melt the butter and add it to the egg mixture. 4. Stir in nuts. 5. Pour filling into pie shell. 6. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. 7. Reduce heat to 300 F and continue baking for 35 to 40 min. 8. If crust starts to brown to fast, put a 2 inch band of foil around. I do this at start and remove it about 15 min before done. |
