Wallie says to use this sauce while cooking . It burns some, but that's what makes it good . Ingredients:
13 cups tomato puree |
4 cups onions |
2 2/3 cups apple cider vinegar |
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil |
4 ounces worcestershire sauce |
1/3 cup salt |
1 tablespoon pepper |
10 1/2 ounces brown sugar |
1 ounce dry mustard |
1 ounce liquid smoke |
Directions:
1. You can either use tomato Puree or Tomato sauce. You should puree the onions, but the recipe is good with them minced as well. 2. Sautee the onions in the vegetable oil, then mix all ingredients and simmer 3-4 hours. 3. You can Put it up in canning jars, process for 30 minutes and this will keep for up to 1 year. 4. Yummy! |
