This is a family favorite of which grapes has always been added. Ingredients:
1 cup chopped, slightly toasted pecans |
1 cup celery, thinly sliced |
1 cup red seedless grapes, sliced (or a 1/4 cup of raisins) |
2 sweet apple, cored and chopped |
6 tbsp mayonnaise |
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice |
salt |
pepper |
lettuce |
Directions:
1. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise (or yogurt) and the lemon juice. 2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of fresh ground pepper. 3. Mix in the apple, celery, grapes, and walnuts. 4. Serve on a bed of fresh lettuce. |
