An apple recipe for when the apples get ripe. Ingredients:
3 large jonathan or whinesap apples |
1 t. lemon juice |
1 c. celery, sliced |
1/2 c. english walnuts, coarsely chopped |
mayonnaise (to taste) |
Directions:
1. Cut out any bad spots of the apples, remove cores, and cut into bite-size chunks. 2. Sprinkle with lemon juice. 3. Add sliced celery to apples and toss with mayonnaise. 4. Before serving, add the walnuts. 5. Yields 5 or 6 servings. |
