This smoothie is from The Eating Well Diabetes Cookbook Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups orange juice, preferably calcium-fortified |
1 banana |
1 1/4 cups berries, frozen, such as raspberries, blackberries, strawberries |
1/2 cup lowfat silken tofu or 1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt |
1 tablespoon sugar or 1 tablespoon splenda granular |
Directions:
1. Combine orange juice, banana, berries, tofu (or yogurt) and sugar (or Splenda), in a blender. 2. Cover and blend until creamy. 3. Serve immediately. |
