This is a recipe I got from a lady at our church who always brought this for our brunches.
Ingredients:
4 cups flour
1 2/3 cups sugar
6 teaspoons baking powder
1 orange, quartered (skin, seeds and all)
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
Directions:
1. Mix together flour, sugar and baking powder.
2. In a blender, mix orange, milk, eggs and oil.
3. Transfer mixture to large bowl and gradually add flour mixture to the orange mixture, blending well.
4. Place dough in two well greased large loaf pans.
5. Allow to stand for 20 minutes.
6. After time has passed, bake in a 400 degree oven until loaves have raised and started to brown.
7. Reduce heat to 300 degrees, slash each loaf lengthwise with a sharp knife. Bake about 40 minutes more or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Let stand ten minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely.
