Add a slice of bacon and/or ham for a roughly 300 calorie breakfast or lunch. Makes 2 Belgian or 6 American waffles (2 servings). Ingredients:
2 egg whites |
3/4 c flour |
2 t baking powder |
1/2 t salt |
1 t splenda |
1/2 t vanilla |
3/4 c water |
2 t brown sugar |
2 t splenda |
1/2 t corn starch |
4 t water |
0.14 oz walnuts (2 halves, chopped) |
1/2 t butter |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs whites until stiff and set aside. Combine flour through splenda; then add water and vanilla and stir until smooth and foamy. Fold in egg whites. Bake in waffle iron to yield 2 Belgian or 6 American waffles. 2. Combine brown sugar, splenda & corn starch. Slowly add water to keep smooth. Bring to boil. Add walnuts and butter. Serve over waffles. |
