This is the most delicious waffle imaginable. I will never buy frozen waffles or use instant mix again. These are so buttery and crunchy, I ate them plain. I wanted to keep it simple so I got this from Joy of Cooking. Never fails. I promise you won't be disappointed. If I can stop eating them (which I doubt), I will freeze them for later. Enjoy!!!!! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1 tablespoon sugar |
3 eggs |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1 cup butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Preheat a waffle iron. 2. Whisk together dry ingredients in a large bowl. 3. In another bowl mix together eggs, melted butter, and milk. 4. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet ingredients. 5. Combine with a few swift strokes of a whisk. 6. Ladle the batter into a waffle iron. 7. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. 8. Serve immediately. |
