A delicious, moist chocolate cake that is always a big hit. Ingredients:
3 cups flour |
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder |
2 tsp. baking soda |
1 tsp. salt |
2 tsp. vanilla extract |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
3/4 cup vegetable oil |
2 cups water |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) 2. Grease 9? x 13? pan. 3. Mix together dry ingredients. (When I make this, I frequently measure the dry ingredients a second time into an airtight container and put it in the pantry. Then I can use it sometime when I am in a hurry. I keep a list of the remaining ingredients and the baking temperature and time on the container, so that I don?t even have to pull out the recipe. I can just add the remaining ingredients and bake!) Add liquid ingredients and stir well. Pour into prepared pan. 4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 - 50 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. 5. You can frost or top with powdered sugar. |
