This is a great strawberry sauce. I'll make this to serve over cheesecakes, ice cream, even biscuits. This is a must have recipe. Quick and tastes devine. Ingredients:
1 pint strawberry, cleaned and stemmed |
1/3 cup white sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Cut about 1/3 of the strawberries in half. 2. In a saucepan over medium high heat, combine strawberries, sugar and vanilla. 3. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. 4. Remove from heat. 5. In a blender, puree about 1/3 of sauce, then mix back into remainder. 6. Store in refrigerator. |
