Ingredients:
2 cups raisins |
1 1/4 cups water, cold |
1/2 cup orange juice |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon orange rind |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup water |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 pie pastry, top & bottom |
Directions:
1. Boil raisins, first amount water, and juice, for 5 minutes in a covered pot. Combine the following: brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, orange rind, salt (dissolved in second amount of water). Add to cooked raisins. 2. Bring to boil, stirring. 3. Remove from heat. Add vinegar and butter. 4. Pour into unbaked pie shell. 5. Top with other pastry. 6.
