This is very tasty. It comes from an estate sale that I purchased a few years back and is dated 1932. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup vinegar |
pinch of salt |
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar |
2 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and boil to the hard ball state. 2. Pour into a well buttered pan and cool. 3. Pull taffy until it becomes white and porous. 4. Cut into 1 inch pieces. |
