Vietnamese Grilled Meatballs Ingredients:
2 tbsp cornstarch |
1 tbsp sugar |
1 tbsp fish sauce |
2 tsp soy sauce |
1/4 tsp pepper |
1/3 cup shallots, minced |
2 tbsp mint, finely chopped |
1 lb ground pork |
1 tbsp canola oil |
Directions:
1. Soak 4 bamboo skewers for 30 minutes. 2. Whisk together the cornstarch, sugar, fish sauce and pepper in a medium bowl. Stir in shallots, garlic and mint. Add the prok and combine by hand. 3. Form into 48 meat balls, about an inch in diameter. Thread 6 onto a bamboo skewer. Refrigerate 30 minutes. 4. Heat a grill pan to medium high. Brush meatballs with oil and grill 6 to 8 minutes, until they are brown, turning often. Serve with Nuoc Cham sauce. |
