VIENNA GREEN BEANS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hellmann Estate in Lewisville, Texas in 1982. Ingredients:
1 package frozen cut green beans |
1/4 cup chopped white onion |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 tablespoon flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
2 tablespoons snipped parsley |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
1/4 teaspoon dried dill weed |
1/2 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Cook beans according to package directions then drain well. 2. Cook onions in butter until tender then stir in flour, salt and pepper. 3. Add broth, parsley, vinegar and dill then cook and stir until bubbly. 4. Stir in sour cream and add to drained beans then heat mixture through. 5. Turn into serving bowl and serve immediately. |
