This recipe was my grandmother's. She always made it when we came over. I am not a fan at all of onions, but this is so good. Prep time does not include refrigerating overnight. Ingredients:
5 vidalia onions, finely chopped |
1/2 cup white vinegar |
1 cup sugar |
2 cups water |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1/2 teaspoon celery seed |
cracker |
Directions:
1. Mix marinade ingredients together. 2. Marinate in the refrigerator overnight. 3. Drain onions. 4. Add mayo and celery seed. 5. Serve with crackers. |
