Summertime is the perfect time for outdoor cooking.Here is a global alternatives for backyard burgers - the all-time family favourite. Ingredients:
1 large egg, beaten |
1 garlic clove, crushed |
1/2 small onion, finely diced |
2 teaspoons victorian epicure all purpose greek seasoning |
1 teaspoon freshly ground victorian epicure sea salt |
1 teaspoon victorian epicure pepper |
1 1/4 lbs extra lean ground beef |
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs |
1/2 cup crumbled reduced-fat feta cheese |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
Directions:
1. Whisk first 6 ingredients in stainless steel bowl. 2. Add ground beef, bread crumbs and Feta cheese, mixing gently to combine. 3. With water-moistened hands, form the mixture into 4 3/4 (2cm) patties. 4. Grill or pan fry. To pan-fry, heat olive oil in frying pan over medium high heat. Cook patties 4-5 minutes per side. 5. Serve with lettuce, tomatoes and tzaziki. |
