2 c white sugar |
1/2 c milk |
1/2 c shortening |
1 tsp vanilla |
3 c rolled oats (not instant) |
1 c sweetened shredded coconut |
pinch salt |
1/3 cup cocoa powder |
Directions:
1. Boil the first 3 ingredients. 2. Remove from heat, add vanilla and bring to a boil again. 3. Remove from heat and add the oatmeal, coconut, salt and cocoa powder. 4. Mix quickly and thoroughly. 5. Drop heaps onto wax-paper lined sheets, chill completely. |
