Very Simple Pickled String Beets |

These pickled beets take almost no time at all to prepare and leave you with an excellent addition to your holiday relish tray, a delicious salad-topper, or a quick and easy side dish at your next picnic or bbq. Ingredients:
1 (15 1/4 ounce) can string beets, rinsed and drained |
1 red onion, thinly sliced rings (optional) |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt |
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper |
1 cup red wine vinegar |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon water |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a glass mixing bowl add the rinsed beets and the remaining ingredients. 2. Mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for several hours. |
