This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Crowers Estate in Hurst, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
4 cups diced rhubarb |
4 tablespoons flour |
1-1/2 cups granulated sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
2 pads butter |
Directions:
1. Mix rhubarb with flour then add sugar. 2. Pour contents into pie shell then add cinnamon, nutmeg and butter on top of rhubarb. 3. Place upper crust on top. 4. Bush top with milk and sprinkle additional cinnamon and sugar on top. 5. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. |
