Very Easy Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

I like this recipe because it is so easy to make and I always have the ingredients on hand.
Ingredients:
2 lbs potatoes, thinly sliced
2 small onions, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups shredded old cheese
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Boil potatoes and onions in saucepot until tender.
3. In separate saucepot, melt butter. Add flour, salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Mix Well.
4. Cook on medium heat one minute while stirring.
5. Gradually add milk, stirring until well blended.
6. Add cheese.
7. Cook until chesse is melted, stirring constantly.
8. Lay potatoes and onions in 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
9. Cover with cheese sauce.
10. Cover with foil.
11. Bake for 45 - 50 minutes, removing foil after 25-35 minutes.
