This icing is used for so many different cookies. Try it on Rolled Sugar Cookies, Ricotta Cookies or as a glaze for anything! Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter, melted |
4 cups powdered sugar |
1/4 cup milk |
food coloring |
Directions:
1. Combine the melted butter and 1 cup powdered sugar. Whisk until the whole mixture is crumbly. 2. Add about a tablespoon of milk and whisk until smooth (it should take a few minutes). 3. Add the remaining powdered sugar with the milk (you may need more or less milk, depending on the humidity). Add a few drops of food coloring, if desired. 4. It should be a thick enough to stay on a cookie if iced, and not run off. |
