This is a recipe I got years ago from my mother in law....Very easy and turns out perfect everytime... Ingredients:
2/3 cup white minute rice |
3 cups milk |
1/4 cup raisins (optional) |
2 eggs, beaten |
2/3 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan bring rice and milk and raisins to a boil. Remove from heat. 2. Mix together the rest of the ingredients. 3. Add slowly to boiled milk mixture and stir until smooth. 4. Put into an 9 inch square pan. 5. Set in hot water bath and bake in oven 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until set. 6. Enjoy. |
