This is another dish my sister makes with the leftover small pieces of meat as they process their own deer. Ingredients:
enough pieces or strips of meat cut into i inch pieces to make 6 servings |
3 gloves garlic |
1 onion chopped |
6 slices bacon |
1 can cream of mushroom soup |
1 can water |
8 oz fresh baby bella mushrooms sliced |
flour |
salt |
pepper |
1 pint sour cream |
1 pk long flat noodles |
Directions:
1. 6 venison steaks or enough strips of meat to make 6 servings 2. 3 gloves garlic 3. 1 onion chopped 4. 6 slices bacon 5. 1 can cream of mushroom soup 6. 1 can water 7. 8 oz fresh baby bella mushrooms sliced 8. flour 9. salt 10. pepper 11. Directions 12. Fry bacon until crispy, crumble and set aside. 13. In the bacon grease saute' the onion and garlic. 14. In the mean time, flour, salt ans pepper the pieces of meat and brown in the onion mixture in the pan. 15. Transfer the meat to a large covered baking pan. 16. In the frying pan add the cream of mushroom soup, water, and baby bellas. 17. Scraping the bottom of the pan to get all the stuff off the bottom. 18. Add the crumbled bacon. 19. Stir and add to steaks in the baking pan. 20. cover. 21. Cook in the oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. until the gravy starts to turn a darker - richer color. 22. Take our of oven and add the sour cream. 23. Mix and serve over cooked noodles with a side salad and crusty bread for an incredable meal. |
