This is from my Mom's recipe cards. I have not tried this. Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups cake flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons sugar |
2 eggs |
2 unsweetened chocolate squares, melted and cooled |
1 cup cola |
Directions:
1. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together and set aside. 2. Cream butter. 3. Slowly add sugar. 4. Cream until fluffy. 5. Add eggs one at a time. 6. Beat after each addition. 7. Mix in cooled chocolate. 8. Beat until smooth. 9. Alternately add dry ingredients in fourths and liquids in thirds. 10. Turn batter into 2 greased cake pans. 11. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done. |
