This is a basic recipe and a quick make. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour |
1/2 cup warm water |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 teaspoon table salt |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce |
sliced onion |
sliced olive |
chopped spinach |
1/2 cup colby-monterey jack cheese |
Directions:
1. Combine salt, sugar, flour, baking powder, and baking soda. 2. Add the warm water and flour. 3. Mix thoroughly with a spoon until dough does not stick to spoon. If it's too wet add 2 T. of flour until it doesn't stick to spoon. 4. Knead on a lightly flour covered surface for 8-10 minutes. 5. Spread to desired shape(1/4 Inch.) Add sauce, desired toppings, then cheese. 6. Cook for 15-20 minutes in a high heat oven.(400 f.). |
