Filling and healthy veggie pitas.
Ingredients:
1 pita bread
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 yellow bell pepper
1/4 white onion
1 cup lettuce
3 tablespoons hummus
olive oil flavored cooking spray
salt
pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic
1/2 tomato
Directions:
1. In a frying pan, grill sliced peppers, onions & garlic with olive oil cooking spray, salt and pepper to taste.
2. Slightly toast pita bread, spread hummus, stuff with pepper & onion mixture, tomato & lettuce.
