Filling and healthy veggie pitas. Ingredients:
1 pita bread |
1/2 red bell pepper |
1/2 yellow bell pepper |
1/4 white onion |
1 cup lettuce |
3 tablespoons hummus |
olive oil flavored cooking spray |
salt |
pepper |
1/2 teaspoon garlic |
1/2 tomato |
Directions:
1. In a frying pan, grill sliced peppers, onions & garlic with olive oil cooking spray, salt and pepper to taste. 2. Slightly toast pita bread, spread hummus, stuff with pepper & onion mixture, tomato & lettuce. |
