Quick and easy vegetarian stromboli! Unlike a classic stromboli that uses a mixture of meats and cheese this stromboli uses only vegetables. Ingredients:
1- 10oz refridgerated pizza dough |
1- 10 oz package chopped spinach |
1 medium red pepper. sliced |
1 cup chopped broccoli |
3 cloves chopped garlic |
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms |
1 green onion sliced |
2t olive oil |
8oz shredded low moisture mozzarella cheese |
1tsp salt |
1tsp black pepper |
1tsp italian seasoning |
1tsp garic salt |
Directions:
1. Bring small saucepan of water to boil add spinach boil 3-4 mins until wilted. drain and set aside 2. In a medium pan heat oil and add peppers, broccoli, garlic, mushrooms and green onion. 3. Saute' 7-10 mins on low heat add spices(except garlic salt) and mix well. 4. Roll out pizza dough on lightly floured surface. 5. Spred cheese over dough leaving a 1 border around edges. 6. Top with vegetable mixture and roll like a jellyroll. 7. Sprinkle garlic salt over the stromboli. 8. Preheat oven 375 and bake 30 - 35 mins until golden brown. 9. Let stand 10-15 mins , slice and serve. 10. **** Be sure to have the vegetable mixture as dry as possible when you add it to the dough.. |
