this recipe is usually served during fasting, haven't tried it yet, just got it from a newspaper daily recipe ..:D Ingredients:
1 cup rice |
1 cup mushroom |
6 onions |
5 carrots |
2 small celery root |
6 tablespoons semolina |
3 potatoes |
200 ml oil |
4 tablespoons tomato sauce |
salt and spices (pepper, boia....... ) |
1 big cabbage, and it leaves separated |
Directions:
1. cook the onions on oil then you add the carrots, potatoes and celery after they were all grind 2. then add the rice and small sliced mushroom. 3. leave it 2 cook for 15 minutes. 4. after cooling we add the condiments and the semolina until it homogenizes. 5. then go with the packing it in cabbage leaves 6. mince the base of the cabbage, the ones with thick nerves, and put it on the bottom in a big pot. 7. and ad 2 lil branches of savory 8. take the cabbage leaves and put a little mixture into them and roll them in by butting little gaps at the end of each so the mixture won't fall out. 9. add the made filled cabbage rolls ( sarmale) in the pot and after each layer ad a spoon of tomato sauce. 10. On the whole top u ad minced cabbage 11. add water so it won't flow over, add more water every time the water evaporates 12. Cook it over medium flames. |
