For medium white sauce see white sauce recipe. Recipe serves 6 to 8. Ingredients:
1 cup medium white sauce |
4 ounces sharp process american cheese, shredded (1 cup) |
4 cups hot cooked or canned vegetables, drained |
1/2 cup fine soft bread crumbs |
1 tablespoon butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Blend white sauce and cheese; combine with vegetables. 2. Pour into 1-quart casserole.. 3. Toss crumbs with butter; sprinkle atop. 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or till browned. 5. Makes 6 to 8 servings. 6. =================================================== 7. Scalloped Vegetables: Prepare as above except omit cheese from sauce and increase Medium White Sauce to 1 1/2 cups. |
