Found this on a news web site here in town. Ingredients:
1 can french style green bean, drained |
1 can shoe peg corn, drained |
1 can peas, drained |
4 stalks celery, sliced |
1 green pepper, chopped |
1 jar diced pimento, drained |
1 red onion, chopped |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
1/4 cup cider vinegar |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons water |
Directions:
1. Combine all salad vegetables, mixing well. 2. In a saucepan, over medium heat, bring dressing ingredients to a boil, then pour over the vegetable mixture. 3. Refrigerate at least 24 hours to allow flavors to meld. 4. If you do not like peas, they can be omitted. |
