Great stew for the weekend or a cool evening. Ideal to start just before lunch.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup sliced onion
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup long-grain rice, uncooked
3 cups raw diced raw potatoes
2 cups sliced carrots
1 cup diced celery
2 cups canned kidney beans, drained
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
Directions:
1. Brown onions and ground beef in skillet, drain.
2. Layer ingredients in slow cooker in the order given.
3. Cover, and cook on low for 6 hours or until potatoes and rice are cooked.
