This recipe comes from Melting Pot Potluck. It was put together to announce the arrival of a new pastor and his wife. Origin: China. Ingredients:
1 lb sirloin steak |
3 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon salad oil |
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 garlic clove, minced |
2 tablespoons oil |
2 medium tomatoes, cut in eighths |
1 cup celery, cut in 1/4-inch slivers |
1 green onion, chopped (include top) |
1 tablespoon wine vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon catsup |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
2 teaspoons water |
Directions:
1. Cut meat into 1/2 thick pieces and place in bowl. Mix with soy sauce, salad oil, ginger, sugar, and garlic. Let stand for 30 minutes. Heat 2 t. oil in skillet and add meat. Cook, stirring constantly until brown. Add vegetables and cook 5 minutes longer, stirring. Blend vinegar and remaining ingredients. Add to meat and cook 5 minutes longer. |
