Vegetable Relish

This is a good side dish with pinto beans. Reminds me of relish served at Cracker barrel.
Ingredients:
1 can green beans, drained
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 can green peas, drained
1 small onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
1. Mix vegetables in a medium mixing bowl.
2. Bring sugar, vinegar, vegetable oil, water and black pepper to boil. Remove from heat, let cool then pour over vegetables.
3. Refridgerate 24 hours before serving.
4. Note: I have reduced the amount of oil in half before and have been happy with the results.
