VEGETABLE PICK UPS This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Clinton Estate in Mesquite, Texas in 1988. Ingredients:
2 avocados seeded peeled and mashed |
8 ounce package cream cheese softened |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 teaspoons lemon juice |
6 drops hot pepper sauce |
2 stalks celery cut into 3 pieces |
1/4 pound fresh mushrooms stems removed |
1 each green and red bell pepper seeded and cut into thick strips |
Directions:
1. Blend avocados, cheese, butter, juice and hot pepper sauce in blender until smooth. 2. Spoon filling into celery pieces, mushroom caps and pepper strips. |
