VEGETABLE PICK UPS This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Clinton Estate in Mesquite, Texas in 1988.
Ingredients:
2 avocados seeded peeled and mashed
8 ounce package cream cheese softened
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons lemon juice
6 drops hot pepper sauce
2 stalks celery cut into 3 pieces
1/4 pound fresh mushrooms stems removed
1 each green and red bell pepper seeded and cut into thick strips
Directions:
1. Blend avocados, cheese, butter, juice and hot pepper sauce in blender until smooth.
2. Spoon filling into celery pieces, mushroom caps and pepper strips.
