I hvae not tried this one yet but intend to. Sounds fabulous. Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups cooked rice |
1 egg |
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
3 tablespoons margarine |
3 tablespoons flour |
1 cup milk |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
10 ounce package frozen carrot slices, cooked, drained |
10 ounce package frozen chopped broccoli, cooked, drained |
Directions:
1. Combine rice, egg, 1/4 cup cheese and onion then mix well. 2. Press onto bottom and sides of greased 9” pie plate. 3. Make a white sauce with margarine, flour, milk and salt. 4. Add remaining cheese then stir until well blended. 5. Stir in vegetables then spoon into rice shell. 6. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. 7. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. 8. Sprinkle with additional cheese if desired. |
