This is the spicy version of Indian vegetable biryani with aroma . Great for family gatherings . Ingredients:
2 b. onions , sliced |
1 tomato , sliced |
pinch of tumeric pwd |
2 bay leaves |
2 tbsp gin-gar paste |
green paste |
2 tbsp corrainder - mint leaf , 2 cardamom , 2 cinnamon , 2 cloves , 2 star anise , 1 tbsp fennel seed , 5 green chilli - paste |
2 1/2 c basmati rice , pre soaked and drained |
1 c carrot , french beans - sliced plus canned peas |
garnish |
fresh mint and corriander leaves |
Directions:
1. Fry bay leaf , onions and tumeric pwd . 2. Add tomatoes and fry until pulpy . 3. Add the green paste and fry until raw smell disappears . 4. Add the vegetables . 5. Once half done add the rice and mix well . 6. Add 3 3/4 C water and salt to taste . 7. Place in a rice cooker and cook . 8. Garnish . |
