This is a delicious beef and vegetable soup / stew recipe. We always serve fresh out of the oven cornbread with this. I really do not like tomatoes but I love this recipe! Ingredients:
2 lbs. stew meat |
1 can beef broth |
1 can water |
1 can stewed tomatoes (or diced) |
1 29 oz. can tomato sauce |
1 can corn; drained |
1 can peas; drained |
garlic salt, pepper, season salt to taste. |
Directions:
1. Brown stew meat in a skillet with 1 Tbs. oil adding garlic salt and pepper. You can dredge in flour if you want (doesn't matter) 2. Add the rest of the ingredients except for peas and cook on Low in a crock pot for 8 hours. 3. One hour before it's done - add peas to heat through. 4. I use about 1 Tbs. each of garlic salt, pepper and season salt. |
