This is a very basic bread, not much to write about, but I've included the recipe here in case you ever need a simple, vegan quick bread. (This is made the traditional way...without any enhancements, but you can add herbs or raisins or any other flavorings to make it fancier. Read more .) Ingredients:
2 cups white whole wheat flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional) |
1 cup plain soy yogurt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 F. 2. Mix the dry ingredients together. 3. Add the yogurt and use your hands to mix it in well. (Add more flour if the dough is sticky, more yogurt if it's too dry.) Shape into a ball and put on cookie sheet. 4. Bake until golden brown, about 25-30 minutes. |
