I have not tried this, but I know we have vegans here at Zaar and thought this holiday recipe would be appreciated. Hope it's good! Ingredients:
2 (10 1/2 ounce) packages soft silken tofu |
16 ounces vanilla-flavored soymilk or 16 ounces rice milk |
4 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1/4 cup white sugar |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric |
1/2-1 cup rum (optional) or 1/2-1 cup brandy (optional) |
nutmeg (to garnish) |
Directions:
1. In blender or food processor, combine all ingredients except nutmeg; blend thoroughly, stopping occasionally to scrape down sides of bowl. 2. Serve well-chilled and dusted with nutmeg. |
