Veal Chops With Mushroom Sauce |

Lombati Di Vitella alla Passetto One of my favorite dishes with my wife and a good bottle of Chianti Classico . Ingredients:
2 tbl olive oil. |
2 tbl minced onion |
2 tbl minced celery |
8 medium size minced mushrooms |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/4 tsp pepper |
flour |
1 cup tomato sauce |
1/2 cup shredded prosciutto ham |
1 1/2 tbl capers |
4 veal chops |
italian or french bread |
Directions:
1. In a small pan heat: olive oil and cook: minced onion,minced carrot and minced celery for about 10 minutes 2. Add: tomato sauce, shredded prosciutto ham and capers and cook for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes 1 1/2 cup sauce 3. Veal: Dip the chops into flour and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Sauted in: 1/3 cup of butter for 3 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned. Add the mushroom sauce, cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. 4. Serve with bread : does wonders if any sauce left |
