Makes 3 pies,nice for a family get together. Ingredients:

1 cup sugar |
1 cup light karo |
2 cups water |
2 eggs |
1 tablespoon flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
topping ingredients |
1/2 cup butter |
2 cups sugar |
2 eggs |
2-1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup buttermilk |
Directions:
1. Have 3 Pie Crust ready,Chill. 2. Blend ingredients for bottom in blender,cook all together until thick,stirring,about 5 minutes. 3. Cool. 4. Pour into 3 unbaked pie shells,allow about 1-1/4 cups per pie. 5. Combine topping ingredients(like a cake batter),mix. 6. Drop by spoonfuls onto the bottom layer,dividing evenly. 7. Bake in 350 degree oven until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean about 45 to 55 minutes. |
