a nice change from regular ice cream. Ingredients:
ice cream maker (optional) |
1/3 cup maple syrup |
4 egg yolks (optional or replace with tofu) |
2 cups soy milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or natural vanilla pod) |
Directions:
1. Mix or blend egg yolks, maple syrup, soy yogurt, soy milk, and vanilla. 2. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker, following the instructions of the machine or cover and place final mixture in the freezer and stir every 15 minutes until desired thickness. 3. You can always add your favorite fruits, such as ripe or frozen raspberries and strawberries, nuts, ginger, or even instant coffee (diluted in soy milk during preparation). |
