Panna Cotta is a smooth, creamy dessert that is great after an Italian meal. Ingredients:

Directions:
1. Pour milk into a small bowl and stir in the gelatin powder, then set aside. 2. In a medium saucepan stir together the heavy cream and sugar then set it on medium heat. 3. Bring to a full boil (watch carefully; the cream will quickly rise to the top of the pan). 4. Pour the gelatin and milk into the cream, stirring until completely dissolved. 5. Cook for one minute, stirring constantly. 6. Remove from heat. 7. Stir in the vanilla and pour into six individual ramekin dishes. 8. Cool, uncovered, at room temperature. 9. When cool, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight , before serving. 10. To serve: 11. Overturn ramekin onto dessert plate (dip momentarily in hot water to loosen the panna cotta). 12. Drizzle with strawberry syrup and garnish with fresh strawberries. |
