This is a Finnish Coffee Cake. It literally takes 30 minutes total and it tastes wonderful! Ingredients:
700 ml flour |
300 ml sugar |
300 ml milk |
1 egg |
4 teaspoons vanilla sugar or 4 teaspoons vanilla extract (i prefer the sugar) |
100 g melted butter |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
200 g melted butter |
200 -300 ml oats |
200 ml sugar |
4 teaspoons cinnamon |
Directions:
1. (1 cup= 2 1/2 dl). 2. Preheat oven to 400. 3. Mix all the ingredients for the cake (in no special order) in a mix master for approximately 4 minutes or until well blended and slightly fluffy spread on a greased or lined 9 by 13 pan. 4. Mix all the ingredients for the topping and pour over the top. 5. (the idea is to leave some patches bare and get a marble effect) cook for 20 minutes or until inserting a toothpick in the center comes out clean. 6. (the cake may look undercooked). 7. let the cake stand for about 10 minutes. |
