My son just loves this fudge. I believe it is from an old church cook book. It reminds you of a maple type fudge. Ingredients:
4 cups brown sugar |
6 ounces carnation evaporated milk |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/4 cup corn syrup |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Bring all ingredients except vanilla and nuts to a full boil and time boiling for 4 minutes. 2. Add vanilla. 3. Beat with electric mixer for 10 minutes. 4. Stir in nuts. 5. Spread into greased 8 pan. 6. Cut into squares before it cools completely. 7. Store in air tight container. |
