One of my favorite cookies.They will melt in your mouth.Again,another similar recipe to the oriental taste.Check my Ghorayeba-sand biscuits and notice the similarity. Ingredients:
210 grams flour |
70 grams ground almonds |
50 grams caster sugar |
180 grams cold butter, cut into pieces |
2 egg yolks |
powder sugar to dust |
Directions:
1. Combine flour , almonds , sugar. Cut in cold butter till mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add egg yolks and form the dough into a ball. Chill 1 hour. 2. Roll the dough into marbles by hand, and then form into crescents, or just press any kind of nuts in the center (I use hazelnuts or pistachio) , or you can shape a 8 cm long log with 2 cm width and slightly press all along with a fork and cut into small bites.
